The bathrooms, kitchen, and living spaces could be updated. So, the listing price reflects this. If it wasn't for that, the sales price would be in the vicinity of $800,000. And if you try to build this square footage on this lakefront lot the price would be even higher. So, take the savings and update the home all at once, or a bit at a time. Your call. However, one of the most expensive items to replace in a home is the roof. The roof was replaced in 2021. That's a major expense that you will not have to deal with. The heat pump has been refurbished. The large windows facing the road have been replaced. The dishwasher is one year old. The washer and dryer, five years. The refrigerator and range, ten years old. Cherokee Dam, with facilities for docking, grilling, a public beach, walking trails, restrooms, a pavilion, and campground is 9 miles. See accompanying photos. Grainger County Park with pavilions for family gatherings, walking trails, playgrounds, and boat ramp is less than 3 miles. Knoxville is 37 miles. So, if you work in Knoxville, settle in Grainger County, where you pay lower property taxes and get more property for the money.
